March 2025
We sent this figured mahogany and sunburst Engelmann spruce Otter off to Bob in Hitchin,
The Otter is our 12 fret, slope-shouldered dreadnought,
Bob asked for a headstock inlay similar to the one on the Tamar we made for him a couple of years ago.
On the subject of inlays – Ken asked Jack to inlay his popular two swallows design on the cherry Tavy we made for him back in 2016.
Clive came over from Bridport to pick up his new Weaver,
With a Sitka top
And English walnut back and sides.
Simon, who’s on the edge of Dartmoor a few miles west of us, picked up this rosewood and Sitka Lyn from Coda in Stevenage, he’s really happy with his purchase!
We completed this rosewood and Sitka Tavy for Rob in Essex,
All being well he’ll be down in the next couple of weeks to pick it up.
Danny from Intersound will also be down shortly to pick up Intersound’s latest Torridge –
European spruce top with rosewood back and sides,
And here’s the latest Torridge for Project Music, also in European spruce and rosewood.
We had to repair a small split in the ribs of this Tavy along with fitting a pick-guard and giving it a thorough set-up.
This twenty year old Lyn‘s cedar soundboard was damaged so we replaced it with a Sitka spruce one – as good as new now and with a new lease of life.
Finally, here’s the mould for a new addition to our range for a customer in Lustleigh, another parlour, provisionally called the Webburn after his local river.
